R.E.S.T.
Rest. As with most everything I like to create an acrostic and this time is no different. So, sit back in your desk chair and take a few minutes to read through this little ditty to gain some perspective today. RELAX, EVERYTHING, is SO, TEMPORARY.
Relax. Breathe a minute. Take some time to pay attention to your body here. Are you shoulders tense? Does your head hurt, are your eye brows scrunched. When we are tense all of these things happen to us and often at a significant rate. Have you ever for a second realized that you were tense? You know what I mean, for some reason you just noticed you had that grumpy look on your face. You caught a glimpse in the zoom and realized you were really really tense in that moment and relaxed your face. This is what I am talking about. Let is go. Breathe again. Deeply. Let that body of yours have some space to live!
Remember this today. The things going on that are causing you so much stress and anxiety are really kind of temporary. I am not saying this to diminish what you are going through today but, this too shall pass. I had a general once tell me, you will never win the war looking at your feet, you have to look to the horizon. I think in life too. The battle we are going through right now is at our feet, winning that battle can start with lifting our eyes to the future, to the horizon and realizing that today is just that, today and that there is hope in tomorrow.
Find peace my friend. You deserve it.
